Fabrizio Conicella has 25 years of experience in the field of innovation and technology transfer in the area of human health and life sciences, covering positions in project management, business development and general management. President of the Italian Science Parks Association and Vice President of ALISEI - Advanced Life sciences in Italy. He currently holds the role of general manager of OpenZone a private science park specialized in life sciences and of Zcube- a research venture and an innovative corporate acceleration program. In the last 20 years he was Project manager, Business development manager and General Manager of Bioindustry Park Silvano Fumero Spa, a science park focused on life sciences, and for 5 years Cluster Manager of bioPmed cluster, an innovative clusters of around 100 companies conceived to boost R&D activities. He also held the role of contract professor in innovation management and business planning at the biotechnology faculties of the University of Turin and the Eastern Piedmont University. Over the years he has gained experience in supporting different startups, in particular in defining the business model and their growth strategies.
Adonella Aletti graduated in Medicine and Surgery and specialized in Internal Medicine. Since 1990 she started working in international pharmaceutical companies as medical advisor, in different areas of clinical research, participating in cardiovascular, CNS and respiratory international clinical trials and managing communication, medico-marketing and training activities of the concerned products. She was medical director for about 12 years in two pharma companies (Altana and Zambon) and in one Contract Research Organization (Hyperphar), doing experience of legal and regulatory aspects of clinical research, medico-marketing communication and pharmacovigilance. From 2012 to 2016 she worked in Zcube as project manager of international drug delivery systems and medical device projects; since end of 2016 she is part of the Open Accelerator Team with the role of Medical Management, contributing to the clinical evaluation and follow up of the participant Projects and Startups, and supporting the organization of the Program of Open Accelerator.
Federica Destro graduated in Business administration cum laude at the University of Padua and obtained a PhD in Technology Transfer in 2012, spending one year as Visiting Scholar at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. Before joining the Open Accelerator team as Program and Community Specialist, she worked as project manager in Fondazione Filarete for 4 years (now Fondazione UNIMI), an incubator focused on biotech and life sciences startups. As project manager for a main Microsoft and Fondazione Cariplo's project, she coordinated the activities of 9 accelerators and incubators and supported business development activities. Unconventional, independent and original, Federica likes to scout new projects, to help startups starting and to connect them with the right contacts.
After completing her Bachelor studies at the European School of Physiotherapy Aurelija has started her international career in Healthcare sector as a founder-physiotherapist in the heart of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Afterwards for her Master’ s degree in Global Health and Development she moved to London, where she contributed to a non-governmental organization, focusing on community health empowerment programs in developing countries. After obtaining her second Master’ s degree in Management at the Bocconi University Milan Aurelija joined Open Accelerator team as International Program and Community Specialist, where she enjoys working on various activities- from startup scouting to acceleration program design.
Cecilia Rizzato, graduated in biotechnology at the University of Ferrara in the academic year 2017/2018, currently graduating in medical biotechnology at the Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna to deepen the use of both diagnostic and therapeutic biotechnological approaches in the field of human pathologies. During her university career, she dealt with innovative gene therapy approaches based on the evaluation and modulation of lncRNA at the department of specialized biomedical and surgical sciences, becoming familiar with laboratory techniques such as cell cultures and treatment with drugs; RNA extraction; retranscription reaction; quantitative PCR reaction and Real-Time PCR; immunoprecipitation reactions of RNA-binding protein and lncRNA; spectrophotometer quantification; obtaining full marks for the degree thesis. As part of the master's degree, she also dealt with innovation and technology management in medical and pharmaceutical biotechnology, acquiring basic knowledge of the managerial aspect of biotechnology in the context of the conception, development and growth of start-ups. Since November 2019 he has been working at Zcube s.r.l on a research venture and an innovative corporate acceleration program.
